Its Malaysia's Historic City where everything begins here ! Yes, it is the place where I was born, went to school and grew up. Founded by a Sumatran prince in the early 15th century called Parameswara and later flourished under the Malacca Sultanate. It was the centre for the spice trade in the region attracting traders from the East and West back in the 15th and 16th centuries. In its heyday, Malacca was the centre of commerce and thus was embroiled in various conflicts of geopolitical nature. Today, we find in Malacca many buildings and destinations and life in general bearing its roots from the Portuguese, Dutch and British influence. Its cool!
